New Review Platforms and a Simplified Publishing Process!

We have some exciting news to share with our community today. At Get Books Reviewed, we are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience and help you get the visibility your hard work deserves. Based on your feedback and the most popular feature requests from our members, we have implemented two major updates to the platform.

Phase One: 3rd Party Reviews are Here!

One of the most requested features has been the ability to earn reviews on platforms outside of Amazon. We are thrilled to announce that Phase One of our 3rd Party Review feature is now live.

Members can now choose to request that their reviews be left on Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo in addition to the standard Amazon review. We know how important it is to have a presence across the entire web; these additional platforms help build even more social proof for your titles.

How the 3rd Party System Works:

• Current Setup (Phase One): You can now add Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, or Kobo as additional options when you list your book for an Amazon review.
• Token Investment: To encourage reviewers to take the extra step of posting on these sites, you will need to assign a bonus of at least 25% of the base Amazon token value for each 3rd party site you select. You can always increase this amount even higher to make the extra effort worthwhile to potential reviewers.
• Fairness Guarantee: If a reviewer decides to only leave the review on Amazon and does not select the 3rd party options, the extra tokens you spent for those platforms will be automatically returned to your account.
• Coming Soon (Phase Two): We are already working on the next stage where you will be able to request reviews specifically for these 3rd party sites without requiring an initial Amazon review.

A New, Simplified Publishing Process

We want the process of getting your book out into our library to be as smooth as possible. While our original “Bonus System” was designed to help authors compete for attention, we realized that it was sometimes difficult to figure out exactly how many tokens were needed to meet your goals.

To solve this, we have created a “Happy Medium” that offers the best of both worlds.

The “Easy Mode” Selection: Now, when you go to publish your book, you will see a simplified interface that showcases the estimated number of days it may take to have your book checked out for review. You can simply select the timeline that works for you. Please keep in mind that these are estimates; different genres and book lengths may move faster or slower than the suggested timeline.

The Advanced Capability: For our authors who prefer total control, don’t worry! We have kept the advanced features intact. You can still manually select individual bonus token values for every review type. This allows you to do things like offering a higher bonus for “Verified Purchase” reviews while keeping your “Free Download” options at a base level.
